The lock is very standard, but it arrived quickly and was simple to assemble. The lock set didn’t come with the latching arm that fit my box, but my box is a few years old so they may have changed it since purchasing. Luckily I had the old one still.

There was only one lockset on the Packasport site, so I assumed it was a universal fit. Not so. I'll call them to seek their advice. It would be better if the site mentioned that this lock doesn't fit all models. We'll see how it goes when I call.

I bought this lock to replace the one on my second hand packasport cargo carrier. It was outrageously priced and it took way longer than expected to arrive, not to mention the 75$ CAD shipping fees. The lock is hard to turn and I'm not sure it will survive even one Canadian winter. I was never given a tracking number (even though I paid 75$ for shipping.) Buying spare parts from packasport makes me feel like I have been scammed out of 300$ for some meager u-bolts and a lock (because I was.) I am ashamed to drive around with the packasport logo over the roof of my car.
