Journeyer - Family Sized Rooftop Box - 212787

I bought this box because it was the only box I could find that would fit under my carport. My intended use is for carrying luggage. With the hinges on the front of the box, the usable space for luggage is somewhat restricted. It is much better suited for items such as skis, which is what I believe it is really intended for, although the web site indicates that it is usable for luggage. I am thankful for the box, but I think a more traditional design with a side opening would facilitate my usage better.

We previously owned the same size box as our new Jouneyer in the same black color but gave it away about 7 years ago when we moved to Hawaii. Now that we returned to the mainland and will have the need car top storage again, we ordered the new version. It has all of the same things we loved about our first one, but we do really like the new matte black tougher finish vs the old smooth gloss fiberglass finish. Have not used it yet, but expect the same great performance as we had in the past. While shipping costs were not inexpensive, it was well done and arrived in perfect condition and the pallet was easily disassembled for disposal (except for the nice 2x4 exterior wood that I was able to save).

The Journeyer is a lifesaver! We hesitated to buy a box initially, but we couldn't be happier with the purchase. It's spacious enough to fit bulky items and keep our car interior clutter-free.
